In catering systems, the food is ordered either on a reader unit or through a webpage. The person ordering the food opens their account by putting down their ID card and through the numbered keypad orders from the menu. The food can be odered up to 30 days in advance and they can choose from up to 16 meals a day. The food orders are distributed at the reader units or through a POS cash register, where items from the additional sortiment can be added.
